Opportunities

The ACA offers a number of different opportunities for participants of every level to get involved in the meeting.  Volunteers play a critical role in ensuring the overall success of the Annual Meeting! Volunteering not only assists the ACA and the ACA Annual Meeting team, but offers opportunities to engage our community and network.  Further, we offer some opportunities to offer students and additional way to earn assistance with travel.

Poster Session Judge

We are in need of many judges to review and score our posters in the poster sessions. By volunteering to be a judge at the ACA Annual Meeting, you will have the opportunity to share your expertise with the crystallographic community and provide valuable feedback to the student presenters.  Anyone who would like to be a poster session judge is encouraged to indicate same when they register for the meeting.  Interested parties will be contacted by organizers prior to the meeting.  

 

ACA/Zoom Facilitator

A facilitator will be provided for each session. This person will monitor the chat window for technical issues and ensure that other aspects of the presentation are going as expected. The facilitator will work with the Chairs to record the session and maintain the schedule.  You will be required to be available for the two weeks of the meeting from 11:00 AM EDT to 4:00 PM EDT.

 

YSIG Mock Interviewers

The YSIG plans on holding an event during the conference and are looking for regular/retired members to conduct mock interviews. If you are interested in volunteering for this activity please let us know.
